Chicago Architecture

While looking through my catalogue of photos I remembered one of the hottest and most humid days I’ve ever experienced. Surprisingly, it was during our trip to the windy city. I’ve felt the caribbean sun on me before, but the heatwave in Chicago was so brutal to walk around in. And you can’t necessarily wander the streets in a bikini sipping cocktails! So as I sat at my desk reminiscing, dressed in a sweater and track pants, I happily browsed through sweaty pictures of my boyfriend and I, along with hundreds (yes hundreds) of architectural photos. All that walking in extreme heat was definitely worth it. There was so much beauty to see and appreciate. My fave building: The Carbide and Carbon Building which was built in 1929 – classic Art Deco design.
