I Choose Tommy

If you watch HGTV, then you must know Sarah Richardson (you know, the design Queen of Toronto). And if you know Sarah, then you must know Tommy. He’s the only male voice of Design Inc, and he’s also Sarah’s right-hand man.

I watched Sarah from her humble beginnings, before her empire – when she was the host of Room Service and now she’s grown her brand to include other designers like Tommy Smythe. I love the way he combines traditional with modern, his unexpected punches of colour and how every room feels comfortable and livable. I think much of the reason for Sarah and Tommy’s success is their ability to complement one another. Sarah’s softness and love for traditional pieces combined with Tommy’s love for bright punches of colour and vintage antiques really make them a kick-ass design duo.

I even love the way Tommy’s decorated his own home throughout the years. Every space has been distinct and personal and really showcases his love for vintage collectibles.
