Jacobs Farmers’ Market

My Uncle Den makes THE best homemade pesto sauce and my Mom buys boxes of fresh basil to make it in batches. Yummm. Unfortunately, it was freezing cold and raining cats and dogs during our trip, so we didn’t get a chance to explore the fresh veggies and fruits.

BUT, we did have some apple fritters. I remember my Dad would buy boxes of these fritters to take home. So of course, I had to do some quality control to see if they are still up to par. These suckers aren’t the healthiest things but they are oh-so-good!

We also had a chance to stop by the Antique Market right off the highway which had some cool stuff. Below are some pics from yesterdays trip: Where the magic happens: There it is. In all it’s greasy goodness… Jams, jellies or homemade summersausage anyone?! How about a jumbo kosher pickle?
