So much has changed in the past few months that I don't even know where to begin. My hubby started a new job, I started a new job and we moved into our new home 3 months ago. Change often feels a little scary and uncomfortable but I'm so grateful for the opportunities that have come our way. We're both so excited for what's to come.
So today I'm sharing my new online home (which is still in progress, have you noticed some changes?) As well as some photos from our new house. Although our place is far from being done (and honestly, when is it ever done?), I have a few fave spots that get me excited. Our bedroom gets some AMAZING light in the morning. Photo above was taken by the window. I almost wish my office was on that side of the house!
I cannot get enough of this console table I found at a thriftstore for $30. I found it last year and made my parents store it in the garage. This has already served me well as it works as the perfect buffet table when entertaining.
There is a huge tree in our backyard which I love. It provides a lot of shade which is great on crazy hot summer days. Although, I'm sure my feelings will change in a few months once the leaves start falling. I wonder how many calories I can burn after an hour of raking?
We also have a pretty big backyard where we can bbq and host a pretty decent size gathering. I love this outdoor space as it's something we have always craved during the summer months. Here's a shot of the cantilever chairs which were a dumpster save and the beautiful outdoor table my Dad built for us. I promise to post more of the table soon...it's such a beauty and perfect for al fresco dining.
Our place has so much potential and we already have a list of projects we'd like to complete. Admittedly, our home has taken a back seat to my styling and design business, but I'm ok with that. I absolutely LOVE helping people create homes they love. The process of finding out what inspires them, what their passions are and how they live have always intrigued me. I hope you'll follow along as I seek to create my home and help others do the same.
