I celebrated Canada's birthday. On a friggin' boat! Had a great time with some close friends and managed to snap this photo during the fireworks display. I'm still amazed at the photo quality, seriously loving my iPhone :)
We spent Monday with my boyfriends Dad and I'm always happy to visit him because not only does he share some fascinating stories, we love a few of the same things like food and thrifting! Let me tell you, this man can find the craziest stuff for little to nothing. I will never forget the first time I walked into his apartment and spotted some teak chairs with nubuck seats. I almost died.
Being from El Salvador, a popular dish would be something like Pupusas but it doesn't mean he can't cook some mean tacos:
We were in a seriHe also has a green thumb. How charming is this little outdoor oasis? It's just so natural, rustic and beautiful. I wish I could grow all these plants on my balcony!
And to save the best for last, check out these fabulous wicker cantilever chairs we're getting! Someone from his building was looking to get rid of them (there's a pair) and since he has no room for them, they're ours for the taking! I just love the mixture of wicker and chrome.
I'm not even sure if I want to leave these outside, they're just so pretty. But they would be perfect for our balcony and would look so cute with our little bistro table. I'm not really sure if I want to paint them or leave them as is and just replace the pillow like this one from One Kings Lane:

What do you think? Paint it or leave it? If so, what colour? I'm beyond excited about this, eek!!!
How was your Canada Day? and to my non-Canadian readers, how was your weekend? Would love to know your thoughts and/or suggestions on the chair situation. Have a good one! xoxo
